Hi Everyone, just wondering has anyone walked/climbed Mt Pinbarren on the Sunshine coast, is it accessible?
Although I have never attempted Mt Pinbarren, I was out that way last year and could not work out a way in. However subsequent research indicated that it is accessible, all be it with some difficulty.
I found this comment from 2022 in Wikiloc: ‘Absolute mission, no signs of a track, very loose rocky surface, spikey and stingy things. Wouldn’t recommend, ha ha.’ The GPS track posted shows the start of the walk was from the back of Noosa Hinterland Mountain Retreat, off Binalong Road. Other bits I have read say you need to get permission from landowners to get access.
